Dr Carolyn Richardson served as a Professor at the University of Queensland – Physiotherapy Department and from 1996 to 2006, was Head of the Joint Stability Research Unit. Over this time, Dr Richardson supervised hundreds of research projects on exercise and muscle function, had 14 PhD completions (5 now Professors), over 100 refereed scientific research papers , many text books and book chapters, and has been a keynote or invited speaker at many conferences in Australia, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and USA.
Extracting from her years of research work with Space agencies and studying the effect of Gravity on Lumbar Muscles – She has developed a new GravityFit Exercise Model – the first science-based exercise model specifically developed to strengthen the musculo-skeletal frame to maintain bone and joint health and prevent (and rehabilitate) back pain and other musculoskeletal pain problems
